About the Company
Apex Dental Partners is a Dental Support Organization (DSO) operating 65 practices across eight states. We have built our own proprietary operations system using Rails 8, React, Electron, Go, and C#/.NET (integrated with OpenDental), all hosted on AWS. We are heavily focused on leveraging automation and AI to optimize practice operations.
About the Role
Our engineering team is small, and developers own problems end-to-end. You will be responsible for identifying workflow bottlenecks, designing solutions, shipping code, and receiving direct feedback from the office managers who use your tools.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building and maintaining an AI-first metrics layer for operational insights.
- Developing automated patient scheduling and communication systems.
- Implementing insurance verification scraping.
- Managing live Practice Management System (PMS) integrations across all locations.
- Collaborating with non-engineering team members to understand workflows and build impactful software.
