About the Role
Bubblehouse is a fast-growing custom & private loyalty platform powering programs for household-name brands. We are a small, fully-remote team operating across the US and Europe.
We are looking for a detail-obsessed, autonomous mid-to-senior engineer (approx. 5–10 years of experience) to investigate customer problems, drive integrations end-to-end, and own the specifications that make them work.
This role is less about pure coding and more about:
- Figuring out what to build and how it fits into the system.
- Debugging edge cases and anticipating failure modes.
- Communicating with clients.
- Utilizing AI to its fullest while maintaining strict oversight of its output.
Technical Environment
- Language: Golang.
- Infrastructure: Custom database engine on top of local key-value stores; colocating storage and compute on dedicated hardware servers; reading data directly from mmap'ed pages.
- Philosophy: We prioritize performance and simplicity. We have zero lines of React, few third-party dependencies, and render HTML server-side.
Requirements
- Experience: 5–10 years of engineering experience.
- Mindset: Detail-oriented to a fault and self-motivated regarding investigation and debugging.
- Communication: Comfortable with spoken English for client calls.
- Availability: Must be available from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM (New York time).
