RegScale: Cloud & DevOps Engineer

Headquarters: Boston, Massachusetts, United States; Knoxville, Tennessee, United States; Remote; Tysons, Virginia, United States
URL: http://regscale.com

About the Role

RegScale is a continuous controls monitoring (CCM) platform designed to deliver fast and efficient GRC outcomes. They help organizations break out of the slow and expensive realities that plague legacy GRC tools by bridging security, risk, and compliance through controls lifecycle management. By leveraging CCM, organizations experience massive process improvements like 90% faster certification times, and 60% less audit prep time. Today’s expansive security and compliance requirements can only be met with a modern, CCM based approach, and RegScale is the leader in that space.

They are seeking a highly skilled Cloud & DevOps Engineer to help scale their operations and deliver world-class value to their customers. The successful candidate will play a critical and highly visible role, serving as a technical expert and creative thought leader in their Cloud-Native software company. It requires an engineer with broad skills and experience, and a flexible approach to solution design and delivery.

If you are passionate about process automation, solving the most cutting-edge design challenges, working with highly skilled people, and the idea of working in a fast-paced startup, then they would love to have you on their team.

Candidate must be a US Citizen and is subject to a background check and unannounced drug testing requirements. Position allows for remote work from anywhere in the United States. They offer an exceptional salary and benefits package commensurate with the responsibilities of the position.

  • Advanced familiarity with Azure and general experience in one or more other major Cloud Service Provider platforms: Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, or others. This includes major IaaS and PaaS offerings around compute, storage, networking, database, and other managed services.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be comfortable with customers, with other engineers, with sales, and with executives.
  • Awareness of cloud-native event-driven solution architectures.
  • Ability to create clear, concise, and thorough documentation – for both internal and customer-facing use cases.

  • Proficiency in generating and presenting architectural drawings.
  • Experience with Agile Project Management, Scrum processes, and operating in a geographically distributed project environment.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in scripting with Bash, PowerShell, Python or other languages
  • Proficiency in building, storing, and running containerized workloads. Must have familiarity with Docker, as well as how container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes, docker-compose, or serverless container workloads function.

  • Self-starter with a passion for continuous learning and personal development
  • Experience in applying security baselines and patches to cloud based systems
