About the Role
You will be taking over the day-to-day email marketing responsibilities from an overworked brand founder. This is a freelance/contract opportunity, not an offer of employment. You will receive strategic instruction, feedback, and mentorship from a founder with 20+ years of experience. You will have significant freedom to work when and how you want, provided you achieve stated goals around key performance metrics (percentage of users converted to advocates, percentage of users converted to autoship, and monthly email attributable revenue).
Requirements
- Location: Must be US-based (Non-US applicants will not be considered).
- Experience: 1–3 years of email marketing experience (in-house or agency side).
- Current Status: Currently working with clients or an agency.
- Platform Expertise: Experienced with Klaviyo.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiar with e-commerce.
- Skills: Self-motivated, AI-fluent, and honest.
- Availability: Approximately 5 hours per week (occasionally up to 10 hours).
Responsibilities
You will execute day-to-day tasks using email and SMS marketing to accomplish the following:
- Convert purchasers to advocates (encourage positive product reviews).
- Encourage repurchases and enable autoship.
- Drive additional purchases by sending special promotions to leads and customers.
- Use Klaviyo to create new email copy and visuals.
- Test subject lines and content.
- Manage automation flows.
- Provide scheduled performance reports.
Compensation
- Rate: Up to $30/hr.
- Note: Slightly higher rates may be considered for truly impressive candidates.
