dyeus - Founding Engineer (Mumbai/Remote)
Compensation: ₹1.5L per month, 0.5% equity
About the Role:
We are building a system that captures the full complexity of a human life across time, addressing the limitations of modern astrology and psychology. We combine multimodal astrology, Jungian psychology, daily journaling, and other personal data to create a longitudinal portrait that becomes more accurate over time. This is not a profile or personality type, but a container for your inner world, a canvas, and companion that understands you better than you do.
Our system uses a proprietary system of engines with an API as the final generation layer. The intelligence resides within the system, and the model is interchangeable.
Closed beta is live, with an App Store launch on June 8th.
What You're Building:
- The memory layer: retrieval architecture, vector databases, embedding pipelines for unstructured psychological data
- Pattern recognition over time: surfaces contradictions, behavioral loops
- LLM orchestration: context assembly, model-agnostic infrastructure built to evolve
- External data integrations: Spotify, Instagram, and more
- The data infrastructure Rasa runs on in 2027: our relationship intelligence product built entirely on what dyeus accumulates
Requirements:
- 3–5 years with real depth in AI infrastructure: not learning on the job
- Shipped a production RAG system with real users
- Vector databases in production: Pinecone, Weaviate, pgvector, or equivalent
- Full-stack: TypeScript, Python, React, Next.js, Supabase, AWS
- Opinions on embedding models, hybrid retrieval, chunking, context assembly
- Side projects > GPA
What You Must Be:
- Systems-first: architecture before features, always
- A craftsman, not an executive
- Comfortable with authored vision: you have absolute technical authority inside your domain, the founder holds the vision
- Long-arc oriented: this is a five to ten-year commitment minimum
- A penchant for artistry and an inner life outside engineering
What Disqualifies You:
- Scarcity mentality and doing the bare minimum as a life philosophy
- Has not shipped an LLM product in production
- Optimizing for your next resume line
