Job Summary
Storyblok is scaling rapidly. As AI Operations & Automation Manager, you will own the optimization of the Operations (finance and people teams) application stack and assume end-to-end ownership of the finance-specific tech stack. Your primary objective is to optimize existing Operations processes and elevate them to best-in-class standards.
By championing automation and process optimization with the help of AI and other leading tools, you will boost data quality and integrity as well as maximize the output of existing resources. Partnering with Operations, Sales, Product, Data, and Revenue Operations, you will guide system changes, shape development roadmaps, and safeguard data integrity company-wide.
Essential Job Functions
- Process Automation & AI Implementation: Identify, design, and implement automation opportunities using AI tools, machine learning, and robotic process automation (RPA) to streamline workflows and resolve bottlenecks.
- AI Tool Optimization: Proactively monitor the automation and AI landscape, assess new tools, and lead stakeholder alignment for adoption or deprecation. Maintain and improve the existing AI toolchain to ensure data governance.
- Risk Management: Use AI for proactive, predictive maintenance and risk assessment to prevent operational failures, with a focus on Finance, Human Resources, and Operations.
- Performance Tracking (ROI): Define and monitor key metrics (e.g., efficiency gains, reduction in manual effort) to measure the success of automated solutions.
- Information-Security Projects and Audits: Implement technical solutions that enhance security posture and support ISO 27001/SOC 2 or other audits.
- Data Integrity, Backups, and Availability: Schedule and monitor system exports, snapshots, and core-IT backups; maintain retention policies to guarantee data completeness and recoverability.
- User Support, Training, and Documentation: Troubleshoot finance-system issues, maintain runbooks, and deliver regular training sessions on system usage and security best practices.
- Collaborate and Coach: Work with the HRIS Manager to identify and implement automation opportunities and AI usage to improve efficiencies while prioritizing the employee experience.
Education and Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Accounting, Finance, Business Informatics, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred. Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA) and/or NetSuite credentials are a plus.
- Experience: Minimum 6+ years in finance or HR/people operations, or workflow automation in operations/backoffice departments in fast-paced companies (ideally SaaS or technology-driven).
- Technical Skills:
- Claude Code proficiency is required.
- Familiarity with SuiteScript/workflow configuration or Javascript. SQL/Python is a plus.
- Familiarity with Google Sheets/Excel modeling and the ability to replace those.
- Solid understanding of APIs, webhooks, and JSON-based integrations.
- Good coding practices (version control, structured error handling, workflow testing, release notes, and Git).
- Systems Expertise:
- At least 3 years working with NetSuite OneWorld (or comparable ERP) in a multi-entity, multi-currency setup.
- Hands-on experience with at least one satellite tool (Sigma, Spiff, Yokoy, Deel, etc.).
- Familiarity with HRIS and ATS systems (BambooHR, Greenhouse, etc.).
- Good working knowledge of N8N, Zapier, Celigo, and BI visualization tools like Sigma.
- Soft Skills: Excellent and pragmatic decision-making skills, strong English communication (written and verbal), and demonstrated AI literacy.
