About the Role
We’re Able, an ethical AI-native on-demand staffing platform. Our MVP is ~80% complete and pilots are queued. We’re hiring a senior Next.js engineer to take us to production.
Stack (Current)
- Next.js 14 (App Router) + TypeScript, React 18, Tailwind
- Postgres (Neon) via Prisma
- Firebase Auth (JWT hand-off) + Admin SDK; FCM for push
- Stripe Connect (Express) for payouts
- Twilio (SMS)
- Google Maps/Places (address + distance)
- Deployed on Vercel; Sentry/Logtail (or your suggestion)
Scope — What's Left
- Implement remaining designed screens (Uizard) and wire to server actions/APIs
- Finalise auth, roles/permissions, user/org profiles
- Gigs/jobs: create/manage, search, availability calendar, booking & checkout flow
- Payments: Connect onboarding, charges, webhooks, refunds, receipts
- Notifications: FCM + Twilio with retry + error states
- Mobile-first polish, accessibility pass, and basic analytics hooks
Engagement
- Start: ASAP
- Rate: $35 per hour
- Turnaround: 4 weeks
- You will have a data science masters graduate intern two days a week to support you
