About the Role

As a DevOps Engineer, you will be part of our infrastructure team and work closely with developers from the backend, frontend, and microservice areas. You will design our CI/CD processes, further develop our infrastructure, and ensure that our platform can be operated stably, scalably, and with high performance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and operate our CI/CD pipelines and ensure automated, smooth build, test, and deployment processes.
  • Together with the team, you will accompany the migration of our platform from a monolith to a service-oriented architecture.
  • Monitor and optimize our systems in terms of performance, availability, and security.
  • Work with containers and orchestrate our services with the Hashi-Stack (Consul, Nomad, Vault, Terraform/Terragrunt).
  • In close coordination with the developers, you will further plan our infrastructure and integrate new tools where they make sense.
  • Actively participate in reviews, retrospectives, and the technical development of our DevOps processes.

Tech Stack and Working Method

  • Infrastructure & Orchestration: Docker, HashiCorp Consul, Nomad, Vault
  • CI/CD & Automation: Git, GitHub Actions, automated Deployments, Composer
  • Monitoring & Logging: Prometheus, Grafana, Loki-Stack
  • Communication & Messaging: AMQP, REST-APIs
  • Databases & Caching: MySQL 8, Redis, Memcache
  • Working Method: 4-eye code reviews, Daily Meetings, agile working in 2-week sprints, decentralized remote collaboration via Workadventure and MS Teams

Requirements

  • Several years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or comparable roles.
  • Experience with CI/CD, containerization (Docker), and Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g., Terraform).
  • A deep understanding of the performance, scalability, and security of distributed systems.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools and can derive measures for optimization from them.
  • You enjoy working in a team, actively participate in technical discussions, and take responsibility for your topics.
  • Very good German language skills (at least C1) are required.
