About the Role
We're hiring an MTS to help define and build our open-source compilation and simulation stack. You will work on:
- Compilation and simulation
- Error mitigation
- Resource estimation
- Benchmarking
- Early fault-tolerant workflows
You'll join a small technical team doing research through sponsored collaborations with national labs, universities, and industry partners. The role is about technical ownership—forming a technical point of view, proposing roadmaps, and building tools that become useful shared infrastructure. There is also room to experiment thoughtfully with AI-assisted research workflows.
Requirements
- A track record of building software other people use (ideally open source).
- A strong background in quantum computing (fault tolerance, error correction, compilation, simulation).
- Strong proficiency in Python; C++/Rust is a plus.
- A PhD is one possible background for this role, but it is not required.
