The Role
The CTO is hiring an Engineering Director—one of two, reporting directly to them.
The scope of this role is significant. We are transitioning the development lifecycle to an agentic model—moving from SDLC to ADLC. We are looking for a partner to help define what an engineering organization looks like when AI writes the majority of the code. This is an opportunity to co-author the playbook and set patterns for the industry.
Responsibilities
- Leadership: Lead 5–7 teams (30–40 engineers) through Engineering Managers and Staff Engineers.
- Technical Strategy: Own technical direction, architecture, and the engineering-quality bar.
- Collaboration: Co-own outcomes with Product and Design leadership.
- Background: You must have been an excellent engineer before transitioning into leadership.
Practical Information
- Location: Stockholm HQ (3 days/week in office).
- Language: Daily work is conducted in English (we have 50+ nationalities).
- Visa: No visa relocation sponsorship is available for this role.
