About the Role
We're looking for someone to host a lighthearted and intentionally goofy Discord event called the Quartus Biennalis Nominis Ceremonia. It's unserious, but we want it handled in an orderly way to maintain the tradition.
Responsibilities
- Join a Discord call on December 6 at the scheduled time (7 PM PST)
- Have your mic on and read things clearly
- Receive DMs from participants containing their 4 submitted names and supporting text
- Use a simple copy and paste anonymity prompt to clean the text (or we can show you how)
- Randomize all entries
- Post each name and text into a specific channel and read them aloud during the ceremony
- Keep everyone else muted while you present
- After all entries are revealed, you’ll receive emailed votes and tally them using a simple scoring method
- Announce the winner in the server
Context
This event is a running tradition in our group. It’s silly, chaotic, fun, and not meant to be serious at all, but the structure matters so it feels like a real ceremony. The winning name becomes part of the server’s identity for the next era.
Requirements
- Able to follow simple instructions
- Comfortable receiving and tallying votes
- Available on December 6
- Must be okay hosting something goofy but organized
Compensation
- $15 via PayPal, Venmo, or CashApp after the event.
Additional Information
Very low-stress, very unserious, just needs someone reliable with a mic who can keep things on track.
Potentially could run up to 2 hours, but may be done in as little as a half hour. Just depends on the animals in the server.
