About the Role
Our client, a large defense contractor, has an immediate opening for a Xpedition ECAD Layout Designer to work remotely from the USA. This role offers the opportunity to develop cutting-edge technology supporting our nation's defense services. You will work with collaborative teams to design, develop, and manage CAD software solutions.
Compensation
Wage Range: $60-$65 per hour
An eventual hourly rate is determined by a comprehensive salary analysis which considers multiple factors including but not limited to: job-related knowledge, skills and qualifications, education and experience as compared to others in the organization doing substantially similar work, if applicable, and market and business considerations.
Responsibilities
- Deliver innovative, flexible, integrated solutions to meet changing business needs in PCB design.
- Support and engage in programs, projects, and practices behind the client's culture and strategy, and comply with all policies and procedures.
- Follow industry and department trends and developments to ensure the client's services are consistent with, and/or superior to, industry best practices.
- Demonstrate sophisticated problem-solving skills, as well as an ability to design, develop, and implement innovative client solutions.
Requirements
- Experience with Xpedition VX2.13 or higher
- Multi-layer experience up to 20 layers
- Knowledge of PCB design and fabrication details
- Experience working in an Integrated Product Team environment
- Extensive experience in design, drafting, detailing, and packaging of PCB board layout designs that include, but are not limited to symbol, cell, and footprint generation, PCB layout, PCB electronic packaging, PCB drawing generation
- Experience troubleshooting design data and configuration problems with outside vendors
- Ability to multi-task and handle numerous jobs simultaneously
- Bachelor's degree in a related specialized area or field or equivalent is required plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
