About the Role
Above & Beyond Talent is seeking an experienced Leave of Absence & ADA Specialist to manage the full lifecycle of employee leaves and accommodations while ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience administering U.S. leave of absence, disability, and ADA accommodation programs.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state leave and disability laws, including ADA, FMLA, PWFA, CFRA, HIPAA, and other multi-state compliance requirements.
- Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, manage conflict, and handle sensitive situations with professionalism.
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex cases and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Self-starter with the ability to take initiative, make decisions under pressure, and adapt to changing priorities.
Performance Objectives / What You'll Be Doing
- Administer end-to-end Leave of Absence programs, partnering with employees, HR, managers, and third-party administrators.
- Manage ADA accommodations and the interactive process, including compliance with the Pregnancy Workers Fairness Act (PWFA).
- Process high-volume leave transactions accurately across payroll, HRIS, and timekeeping systems.
- Partner with Workers' Compensation vendors and HRIS teams to support claims and system integrations.
- Analyze leave data, generate reports, and identify trends to support business decisions.
- Serve as the subject matter expert on leave programs, ensuring compliance with federal and state leave laws and regulations.
- Process state disability claims and resolve leave-related payroll inquiries.
