About Us
Temporal is an open-source programming model that simplifies code, makes applications more reliable, and helps developers focus on delivering features faster. We aim to be the reliable foundation of every developer's toolbox and are building a team to make that happen.
Our values guide us: we are curious, driven, collaborative, genuine, and humble.
Temporal is growing, and we are looking for those who share our values, challenge 'standard' thinking, and want to influence our future. If you have a passion for improving the developer experience, building world-class open-source software and communities, and want to be a part of our amazing team, we'd love to hear from you!
Summary
The Staff Developer Advocate at Temporal Technologies will be the voice and face of our developer community in the Platform Engineering space. This role involves producing high-quality technical content, engaging with developers, and gathering feedback for product development. The successful candidate will drive developer engagement and contribute to the growth of our open-source community.
We're looking for someone with deep experience with self-service developer platforms, such as those built on Kubernetes, and with that comes a strong background in distributed systems. We need you to be able to speak the same language as other Platform Engineers - Infrastructure as code, CI and CD, progressive delivery, GitOps and more - and help them to both bring Temporal into their own platforms, as well as help them to enable their own internal development teams on using Temporal.
What You'll Do:
- Build Apps: Architect and develop sample applications that developers can use and explore to understand Temporal.
- Create Content: Produce technical content, including blog posts, tutorials, and videos, to educate developers on Temporal.
- Engage with Community: Participate in online forums, answer questions, and build relationships with developers.
- Gather Feedback: Collect and analyze developer feedback to inform product development.
- Speak at Events: Represent Temporal at industry events and conferences.
- Collaborate: Work closely with the engineering and product teams to align developer needs with product strategy.
- Evangelize: Promote Temporal and its benefits to the developer community.
