About the Role
We are a pre-seed defense startup in Munich building autonomous interceptor drones to stop FPV kamikaze drones. We're tackling challenging problems:
- Problem 1: Detect, classify, and track a small drone flying at 60mph (100 km/h) at 30fps using a camera and edge processor, starting from 100+ meters, against complex backgrounds.
- Problem 2: Develop a guidance law to predict target position in 0.5 seconds, compute intercept geometry, and command the flight controller, all with noisy IMU data, wind gusts, and no GPS or RF link.
We've solved the guidance part in simulation and have a hardware prototype ready. Now, we need your help to bring it to life.
Open Positions
We are looking for talented individuals to join our team:

Computer Vision & Edge AI Engineer:
- Focus: YOLO on Jetson/Hailo/QRB5165.
- Responsibilities: Detect, classify, and track small targets at 100m+. Model pruning, TensorRT, sensor fusion.
- If you've pushed edge hardware to its absolute limits, this is your problem.

GNC / Flight Systems Engineer:
- Focus: Image-based visual servoing, proportional navigation, EKF/UKF state estimation, PX4 integration.
- Responsibilities: Take what works in simulation and make it survive real-world sensor noise.

Simulation & Test Engineer:
- Responsibilities: SITL/HITL, Monte Carlo campaigns, digital twins. 10,000 simulated engagements before anything leaves the ground.

Technical Advisors:
- Focus: Drone warfare, GNC/aerospace, defense procurement.
- Responsibilities: A few hours/month from the right person can change our trajectory.
