About the Role

We run a high-dopamine candy/ASMR Shorts channel engineered for maximum retention. We are looking for a creative partner who understands that the edit is the product. This is a serious, long-term opportunity with stable guaranteed monthly retainer income, weekly pay, and a full written production system.

  • Role: Directing and editing highly dynamic 9:16 vertical Shorts (30–60 seconds each).
  • Workflow: Ongoing project-based flow with consistent weekly deliverables.
  • Contract: Long-term monthly contract/retainer.

Must-Have Skills

All skills will be tested.

  • After Effects Expert: Custom curves in Graph Editor ONLY (no default Easy Ease).
  • Animation: Overshoot & settle on every single pop-in animation.
  • Editing: Frame-accurate beat cutting (cuts must land on beats by the frame).
  • Sound Design (3-Layer System):
    • Layer 1: Epic trailer music bed.
    • Layer 2: Digital SFX (zaps, thunder, glitches, swooshes).
    • Layer 3: Organic ASMR (crunches, slurps, sizzle) mixed wide.
  • Compositing: Green screen compositing (clean Keylight extraction).
  • Typography: Kinetic typography synced tightly to vocal syllables.
  • Retention Focus: Short-form retention editing ONLY (no wedding, corporate, or documentary editors).
  • Micro-movement: Continuous movement on every layer (nothing static for more than 0.6 seconds).

Visual Standards

  • Color: Vibrant, high-saturation cinematic grading.
  • Close-ups: Magnified close-up panels with smoke-puff birth effect on every bite/interaction.
  • Camera: Camera shake every 0.6 seconds (rotating hard/medium/soft intensities).
  • Transitions: Zero fade transitions; impact whip cuts and motion-blurred pushes only.
  • Text Effects: Glow text (natural green → ignite to neon → sparkle with micro-particles).
  • Overlays: Diamond micro-particle shimmer overlay on all food close-ups.
  • Stock Footage: Real 4K lightning stock footage only (no plugin-generated lightning).

Compensation & Budget

  • Hourly Rate: $15 to $20 per hour (depending on speed and portfolio).
  • Retainer Option: Flat guaranteed retainer of $1,000 to $1,200/month (based on ~15 hours/week).
  • Payment Schedule: Paid WEEKLY.
  • Support: Clear briefs and assets provided for every project.

Location & Logistics

  • Remote: Global.
  • Hours: Flexible, provided daily communication and deadlines are met.

Paid Trial

Top applicants will be selected for a paid trial:

  • Task: 1 finished trial video (approx. 30s) based on provided raw footage and a brief.
  • Trial Fee: $25 paid immediately upon delivery.
  • Note: The trial result is the final hiring decision.
