Support Agent - Part Time
Compensation: $15/hour (20-28 hours/week)
About the Role:
Buzzer is seeking a dedicated Support Agent to join our innovative platform for investing in emerging athletes. This is a remote, part-time role requiring daily availability (approximately 2-4 hours/day, morning and evening shifts) with only one weekend day off.
Responsibilities:
- Handle user support messages via Buzzer's built-in chat, Meta Messenger, and social media (Instagram/Facebook via Meta Ads). Respond to inquiries from athletes, users, and influencers about platform usage, profiles, and more.
- Manage the Influencers Collaboration List in Google Sheets: Track contact info, history, metrics (e.g., referrals, content views), and status. Update weekly.
- Moderate an influencer group on Buzzer: Enforce guidelines, respond to queries, and facilitate Buzzer-related discussions.
- Maintain and update the Common Questions and Answers FAQ based on incoming queries.
- Validate and process payouts: Use the admin console to check requests, verify no fraud (e.g., invalid referrals from the same device or auto-emails), create Discord threads for team approval, mark paid in console and Sheets, and notify users. Reject invalid ones with explanations.
- Monitor accounts for suspicious sign-in/sign-out patterns and flag/report issues.
- Submit weekly reports in Basecamp: Include replied messages count, payouts handled/rejected, common issues, etc.
- Escalate complex problems to management.
- Handle reported content.
- Handle verification requests.
Requirements:
- 1+ years in customer support.
- Good general knowledge.
- Strong communication and tech skills: Familiar with dashboards, Google Sheets, Discord/Telegram, Meta tools, Basecamp.
- Ability to work independently; daily consistency required.
- Attention to detail for validation and monitoring.
- No teams/agencies – individual freelancers only.
- Reddit account older than 1 month with recent activity (per subreddit rules, but as hirer, we'll verify applicants).
