Senior Electrical Engineer - Rancho Dominguez, CA (Onsite)

We’re seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to play a key role in the development of our next-generation CNC control system. In this role, you will focus on electrical design, PCB development, machine integration, and advanced troubleshooting.

Requirements

7+ years of professional experience in electrical engineering or industrial control systems
BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field
Strong circuit design, PCB development, and hardware debugging skills
Experience with Altium or Orcad PCB software
Experience using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and electronic test tools
Knowledge of CNC motion control systems, EtherCAT networks, and drive integration
Familiarity with SolidWorks or AutoCAD Electrical software
Exposure to embedded software/C/C++ or PLC development is a plus

Responsibilities

Design and develop electrical systems for CNC machine tool controls and Windows-based platforms
Create circuit designs, schematics, and PCB layouts for production electronics
Design electrical cabinets, schematics, and cable/wire assemblies
Select electrical/electronic components and identify second sources
Integrate EtherCAT-based motion control systems for axis, spindle motors, and distributed I/O
Troubleshoot complex machine/control issues across electrical, electronic, software, and mechanical domains
Collaborate with customer service to troubleshoot current and legacy machines and controls
Design and build test equipment for validating production control hardware
Use AI-assisted tools to improve engineering productivity and debugging efficiency
Work with Electrical Inspectors to ensure UL and NFPA conformity

Compensation

Salary: $125,000 to $150,000 / year (depending on experience)
