Senior Electrical Engineer - Rancho Dominguez, CA (Onsite)

We’re seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to play a key role in the development of our next-generation CNC control system. In this role, you will focus on electrical design, PCB development, machine integration, and advanced troubleshooting.
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional experience in electrical engineering or industrial control systems
- BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field
- Strong circuit design, PCB development, and hardware debugging skills
- Experience with Altium or Orcad PCB software
- Experience using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and electronic test tools
- Knowledge of CNC motion control systems, EtherCAT networks, and drive integration
- Familiarity with SolidWorks or AutoCAD Electrical software
- Exposure to embedded software/C/C++ or PLC development is a plus
Responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical systems for CNC machine tool controls and Windows-based platforms
- Create circuit designs, schematics, and PCB layouts for production electronics
- Design electrical cabinets, schematics, and cable/wire assemblies
- Select electrical/electronic components and identify second sources
- Integrate EtherCAT-based motion control systems for axis, spindle motors, and distributed I/O
- Troubleshoot complex machine/control issues across electrical, electronic, software, and mechanical domains
- Collaborate with customer service to troubleshoot current and legacy machines and controls
- Design and build test equipment for validating production control hardware
- Use AI-assisted tools to improve engineering productivity and debugging efficiency
- Work with Electrical Inspectors to ensure UL and NFPA conformity

Compensation
Salary: $125,000 to $150,000 / year (depending on experience)
