About the Role

Above and Beyond Talent is seeking a Social Content Creator to help shape the voice of beloved, iconic brands through bold, trend-setting content. This role is perfect for someone who lives and breathes social media, has a sharp eye for design and video editing, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You’ll produce engaging, platform-native content across Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook, while also supporting UGC/EGC sourcing and creative coordination.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in social media content creation.
  • Strong graphic design, videography, photography, and video editing skills (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, CapCut, etc.).
  • A portfolio showcasing standout social content and creative impact is required.
  • Deep understanding of social media platforms, trends, and best practices.
  • Experience with social media management tools (Sprinklr preferred).
  • Excellent copywriting and communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, design, or related field preferred
  • Experience in community management and/or agency background is a bonus.
  • Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) experience is highly desirable.
  • Candidates with a visible personal social presence (e.g., Instagram or TikTok, YouTube) are preferred

Responsibilities

  • Develop thumb-stopping content for platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook.
  • Shoot original videos, take photos, and design static graphics aligned with brand guidelines and current trends. Appear on camera/videos.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and agency partners to ensure content aligns with brand strategy and campaign goals.
  • Stay ahead of social trends, platform updates, and emerging formats to inform content strategy.
  • Participate in all stages of content creation — from ideation to execution.
  • Review performance data regularly to assess and optimize content effectiveness.
  • Expected to appear on camera within produced content.
  • Content Coordination (10%)
  • Discover, source, and manage content banks of UGC, EGC, and partner-produced assets

Compensation

  • Payrate: $20.00 to $25.00

Location

  • Chicago, IL - Job location is hybrid, but would consider fully remote for the right person. Preference is local to Chicago and must be authorized to work in the US.
