As we continue to grow, we're looking for a relationship-driven business development professional who can identify new opportunities, build trusted client relationships, and help expand Current's portfolio of work.

What You'll Do

  • Own and grow an outbound business development pipeline by identifying and pursuing new client opportunities across multiple industries.
  • Qualify and manage inbound inquiries, ensuring opportunities align with Current's capabilities and strategic goals.
  • Build trusted relationships with prospective clients from initial outreach through contract execution.
  • Uncover client challenges, business goals, and opportunities, translating them into thoughtful solutions that align with Current's services.
  • Partner with strategy, creative, production, and engineering teams to develop compelling proposals and pitch presentations.
  • Lead outreach efforts through email, networking, referrals, and other prospecting channels.
  • Develop customized pitch narratives that clearly communicate Current's value and differentiate our approach.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline reporting and opportunity tracking within Nutshell CRM and internal systems.
  • Provide leadership with regular updates on pipeline health, forecasting, and win/loss insights.
  • Research emerging industries and target markets to identify new areas for agency growth.
  • Ensure smooth transitions from business development to delivery teams through organized project handoffs.

What You'll Bring

  • 5–7 years of business development or sales experience, ideally within a digital agency, marketing services, consulting, or digital transformation environment.
  • Demonstrated success building and managing a sales pipeline while consistently achieving or exceeding revenue goals.
  • Experience owning the full sales cycle from prospecting through contract negotiation and close.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills with the ability to establish credibility and trust quickly.
  • Strong discovery and consultative selling skills with the ability to identify client challenges and recommend strategic solutions.
  • Outstanding written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to tailor messaging for different audiences.
  • Highly organized with strong pipeline management, forecasting, and follow-through.
  • Comfortable working independently while collaborating cross-functionally across multiple teams.
  • Adaptable and resourceful, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and shifting priorities.

Nice to Have

  • Experience selling digital transformation, website, product, CRM, or marketing services.
  • Existing network within marketing, digital, or technology industries.
  • Experience developing agency proposals, RFP responses, or pitch presentations.

Compensation & Terms

This is a temporary-to-permanent opportunity. The role will begin as an hourly position, with the opportunity to transition into a full-time employee based on business needs and individual performance.

  • Temporary Hourly Rate: $60.00 – $70.00 per hour
  • Full-Time Annual Salary: $125,000 – $140,000 annually

Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors, including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and location.
