AI Native Technical Lead Role

Location: Miami, FL Salary: $90,000 - $150,000/year Type: Onsite

About the Role:

We are a fully capitalized HealthTech SaaS company building an AI-native platform from scratch. AI is core to our architecture, our development workflow, and our product. We are backed by a Miami-based family office with a long runway and an ambitious product roadmap.

We are hiring our first technical operations hire to own the operational layer of our AI-assisted development workflow. This will allow our engineering leadership to focus on high-leverage product development.

What makes this different:

  • AI-native from Day 1 — the entire development workflow runs on AI-assisted tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot)
  • Ground-floor equity — you are a foundational hire at a platform targeting a multi-billion-dollar market
  • Fully capitalized by a family office — no fundraising pressure, no down-round risk
  • Proven leadership — founders have built and exited multiple companies at scale
  • Direct access — no layers, no committees; your work has immediate, visible impact
  • $90–150K base + meaningful equity — contract-to-hire structure so both sides confirm fit before committing

What you'll build:

  • Development environment setup and staging protocols
  • CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure monitoring systems
  • Regression testing and QA frameworks
  • Technical documentation and audit trail processes
  • Product backlog and sprint planning infrastructure
  • API integration prototypes (healthcare APIs, payments, scheduling)

What you'll do day-to-day:

  • Prepare development environments, run test suites, and stage context ahead of engineering sessions
  • Review and test all code produced during engineering sessions — regression testing, edge case identification, and bug documentation
  • Manage CI/CD pipelines, staging and production deployments, and infrastructure monitoring
  • Handle lower-complexity coding tasks independently using AI-assisted workflows (30–40% of role)
  • Build out tests, fix non-critical bugs, implement UI refinements, and create utility scripts
  • Research and prototype third-party API integrations (healthcare, payments, scheduling)
  • Maintain technical documentation current with each sprint
  • Support regulatory compliance requirements with documentation and audit trails

Requirements:

  • Non-negotiable: You must already be building software with AI coding tools every day — Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, or similar. If you can't show us something you built with AI tools in the last 60 days, this isn't the right role.
  • 3–7 years of engineering experience across the full stack
  • Strong QA and testing discipline — meticulous, not just functional
  • Comfort working across multiple languages and frameworks
  • DevOps experience (CI/CD, Docker, cloud infrastructure)
  • Self-directed work style — you don't need daily standups to stay productive

Strongly preferred:

  • Experience in HealthTech or regulated SaaS environments
  • Familiarity with healthcare compliance documentation requirements
  • Startup or early-stage experience — you build systems and follow them
  • Excitement about early-stage building, not fear of ambiguity

Compensation:

  • $90,000–$150,000 base salary (commensurate with experience and skillset)
  • Meaningful equity — foundational hire on a platform targeting a multi-billion-dollar market
  • Contract-to-hire structure (convert at 30–60 days)
