About the Project
The core concept for this brand symbol is already established. I am looking for a designer to handle refinement and productionization rather than a ground-up redesign.
The mark is a brand symbol for a streaming/media project. It features a gold omega formed into a gate/threshold with a stairway inside. The concept represents an invitation: the "end" (omega) is a threshold through which a new beginning (stairs) is found, conveying the message "you can always come back." The design must be scalable for use in social avatars, stream overlays, apparel, LED signs, and jewelry.
Scope of Work
- Optical refinement of the staircase: Adjust the geometry to ensure it reads as a staircase rather than a pyramid/ziggurat. Explore 3–5 step variations to find the best balance for depth, ascent, and readability at favicon size.
- Master vector files: Clean, hand-drawn paths (AI, SVG, EPS). No auto-tracing.
- One-color versions: Deliverables in black on white, white on black, and gold on black.
- Finalized lockup: Integrate the glyph into the "ToR / TEMPLE OF RETURN" wordmark in both horizontal and stacked variants. Finalize wordmark letterforms and identify/recommend a matching licensed typeface.
- Consistent finish: Apply one canonical gold texture (warm brass/champagne metal, engraved) across the glyph and lockup. Deliver as a layered file with the flat vector underneath.
- Usage/construction sheet: A one-page document detailing minimum sizes, clearspace, and the geometry of the final glyph (circles, spacing, radii, and proportions).
- 32px test: The final glyph must remain legible at favicon size.
Requirements
- Portfolio: Please provide 2–3 relevant portfolio pieces showcasing lettering, luxury, or editorial identity work.
- Aesthetic: The desired register is prestige title-card (A24/HBO). Please note that if your portfolio is focused on esports logos, this is likely not the right fit.
- Turnaround: Please include your estimated turnaround time in your application.
Terms
- Work-for-hire: All rights to final deliverables transfer to the client upon final payment. The underlying glyph design is the property of the client; the designer is being hired for refinement and production.
