Who This Role Is For
We are open to candidates who are early in their careers and able to learn, including:
- Law students or recent law graduates
- College/university students in any analytical or academic discipline (e.g. law, sociology, computer science, philosophy, economics, political science, etc.)
- Individuals with legal, academic, or research-oriented experience
You do not need prior legal work experience or experience in English Law.
You do need strong reasoning skills, the ability to research independently, and the discipline to produce high-quality written work.
Role Overview
This role involves English law research and legal drafting. It requires careful reading, structured thinking, and clear written communication.
The work is substantive and research-driven, not procedural or administrative.
Responsibilities
- Researching specific areas of English law
- Drafting and reviewing contracts and legal documents
- Producing structured, professional written materials
- Learning unfamiliar legal topics and applying research accurately
- Identifying legal risks through research and analysis
Requirements
Required:
- Current or recent university-level study OR demonstrable research-based experience
- Strong written English (academic or professional level)
- Ability to independently research, evaluate sources, and synthesize findings
- High attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
Preferred (not required):
- Legal studies or legal research experience
- Strong academic writing background
- Experience working with complex or technical material
