Video Editor Wanted — Immigration Advocacy Org (Contract)
ImmigrationEventually (IE) is a new immigration advocacy organization making the economic case for immigration reform — think Matthew Yglesias's One Billion Americans as a policy anchor, delivered for a general audience.
We're looking for a video editor to produce two launch videos:
- A 50-second hook piece (script complete)
- A 3-minute explainer (script in progress)
Responsibilities
- Editing from a provided script and voiceover
- Sourcing or working with provided b-roll, graphics, and data visualizations
- Delivering a clean, professional final cut suitable for web and social
- One round of revisions per video included
Requirements
- Strong portfolio, ideally including explainer or advocacy video work
- Ability to work independently with minimal hand-holding
- Comfortable with policy content — you don't need to agree with our politics but you need to take them seriously
- Reliable communication and clear turnaround timelines
Compensation
- Budget: $3,000 for both videos
About IE
We're pre-launch and building our core infrastructure. This is a ground-floor opportunity to have your work associated with an org we intend to grow significantly. We're not a scrappy nonprofit asking you to work for exposure — we're paying fairly and expect professional output.
