I am looking to hire a **remote contract full-stack software engineer** to help maintain and improve an **internal analysis system**.
This is a direct contract role. I am hiring directly, not through a job board, agency, or affiliate link.
# Work
The work will include:
* Maintaining and improving existing frontend features
* Backend/API updates
* Bug fixes and debugging
* Database-related work
* Testing and documentation
* General codebase maintenance and improvements
* Energy industry experience (nice to have)
# Required Skills
Strong experience with:
* React
* JavaScript / TypeScript
* Python or C#
* REST APIs
* SQL or NoSQL databases
* Git / GitHub workflow
# Experience
* 5+ years of professional software development experience
* Comfortable working independently
* Good written communication
# Role Details
* Type: Remote contract
* Hours: 20–40 hours per week
* Timezone: Must overlap at least 4 hours with US Eastern or Pacific time
* Rate: USD $25–35/hr depending on experience
* Payment: Monthly by agreed invoice
* Communication: Slack
* Duration: Long-term preferred. This can become an ongoing role if the fit is good.
