Utility Operations Application Specialist (Contract)

About the Role
Above & Beyond Talent is seeking an experienced Utility Operations Application Specialist to support and maintain Mobile Workforce Management (MWM) and Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) applications. This role focuses on application support, SQL troubleshooting, system integrations, data integrity, and ensuring reliable technology operations within a regulated utility environment.
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
- 5+ years of experience in utility operations and related applications.
- Hands-on experience supporting MWM and/or EAM systems.
- Strong SQL skills (Oracle or MS SQL Server).
- Experience with ServiceNow, ITIL, and change management processes.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
- Experience with IFS MWM, HxGN, Kloudgin, or similar platforms preferred.
- Meter Management/AMI experience is a plus.
- Experience with APIs, integrations, and Windows/iOS device support.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain MWM and EAM applications.
- Provide Tier 2/3 application support and troubleshoot production issues.
- Perform root-cause analysis and coordinate incident resolution.
- Write SQL queries for data validation, troubleshooting, and reporting.
- Support system integrations, upgrades, and configuration changes.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and regulatory compliance.
- Maintain technical documentation and provide user training.
- Support application implementations and major upgrades.
