Responsibilities

  • Work with a wide range of systems, processes and technologies to own and solve problems from end-to-end.
  • Craft new products and features that impact millions of people and businesses around the world. Explore creative opportunities for next-gen payments experiences that leverage the depth of Stripe's payment technology.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization such as product, design, infrastructure, marketing, and operations.
  • Develop and execute against both short- and long-term roadmaps.
  • Make effective tradeoffs that consider business priorities, user experience, and a sustainable technical foundation.
  • Uphold our high engineering standards and bring consistency to the many codebases and processes you will encounter.

Requirements

Must have a Bachelor degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or a related field, plus 3 years of experience in software development.

Must also have 3 years of experience in each of the following:

  • Programming Languages Ruby and Java.
  • Javascript or Typescript.
  • Designing, building, and maintaining robust, versioned RESTful or GraphQL APIs that support both internal and external consumers.
  • Working with NoSQL databases including Mongo.
  • Automated testing practices, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing, to uphold high engineering standards and code quality.
  • Development, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance of software products and features.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $161,637 - $213,800.00 /yr.
  • Schedule: 40 hrs/week
  • Remote Policy: 100% Telecommuting permitted.
  • Additional Benefits: Equity, company bonus or sales commissions/bonuses; 401(k) plan; medical, dental, and vision benefits; and wellness stipends.

Note: This salary range represents the base salary range for the role and any sales commissions/sales bonuses targets, if applicable, would be in addition to the base salary.
